With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Merle Alexander of Toledo, Iowa, born in Tama, Iowa, who passed away on August 11, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Alexander and Hilma Alexander (Klenk); his brother Larry Alexander (Pat); his great grandchild Shelby Schmidt; and his brother-in-law John Sotyn.
He is survived by: his wife Dorthy Sotyn of Toledo; his children, Debbie Hofert (Mike) of Marshalltown and Donny Alexander of Slocomb, AL; his grandchildren, Cathy Schmidt, Michael Hofert (Sheena), Alyssa Alexander, Nathan Hofert and Wesley Hofert; his brothers, Keith Alexander (Arlene) of Des Moines and Allan Alexander (Becky) of Toledo; and his sister-in-law Marlene Sotyn of Toledo. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund will be established.
