He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Trusheim and Jakob Trusheim; and his siblings, Henry, Helen Luiken and Anna Ash.

He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Tammy Trusheim-Rahmiller (Brad) of Marshalltown and Philip Trusheim (Allyce) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Isaac and Maya Trusheim; and his brothers, Rudolf, Harold and Wilbert.
