She was predeceased by: her parents, Hanners Lorenzen and Pearl Lorenzen (Gray); her husband Franklin; her children, Marcia Bartelt and Nathan Christian; her granddaughter Cindy Hall; and her sisters, Marian Simmonds and Nancy Moyer.
She is survived by: her children, Jill (Tony) of Laubenfels, Erin Bro (Mark Pennell) of Marshalltown, Matt Bro (Deb) of Queen Creek, AZ, Paula Lober (Todd) of Gilbert, AZ and Brett Bro (Brenda) of Toledo; her son-in-law Paul Bartelt of Forest City; and her sister Ann Hendricks (Jerry) of Tama. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
