He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Koch and Melva Koch (Schaff); his parents-in-law, Earl and Myra Lantau; and his sister-in-law Ellen Koch.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Lantau of Toledo; his children, Nicky Knapp (Darin) of Minneapolis, MN, Clint Koch (Suzanne) of Clive and Ally Billhorn (Sheridan) of Wilton; his grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter Knapp, Zoey Koch, Drake, Taylor and Finley Billhorn; and his siblings, Eldon Koch of Maquoketa, Rick Koch of Davenport, Marsha McClintock (Gene) of Perry and Debbie Kahrs (Ken) of Norwalk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home (209 E 7th St, Tama, IA 52339). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (700 Harmon, Tama, IA 52339).
