It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Carol Zmolek of Toledo, Iowa, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Gettle and Eva Gettle (Haynes); her husbands, Lester Plum and Pete Zmolek; her daughter Pam Scalise (Joe); and her siblings, Howard Gettle, Bill Gettle and Charlotte VerBraken.
She is survived by: her son Roger Plum of Adel; her stepchildren, Tom Zmolek of Des Moines, Darrell Zmolek (Judy) of Dubuque, Colleen Springer (Mark) of Marshalltown, Marcia Forman (Tyler) of Boulder, CO, Pat Zimmer of Aurora, CO and Kathy Condon of Broomfield, CO; and her sister Betty Rozevink of Mason City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund will be established to be given to a local charity at a future date or you can donate to a charity of your choice.
