We bid farewell to Eugene Joseph Vesely of Toledo, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 14, 2025 at the age of 77. Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Vesely and Elsie Vesely (Dvorak); his sister Helen Forbes; and his siblings-in-law, Bernard Kalinay, Emil Kalinay, Ed Diggins, Charlene Vesely and Joan Kalinay.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kalinay of Patrick's Church; his children, Karen Vesely, Kelly Balvin (Jason) and Chelsea; his grandchildren, Laura Contreras (Manuel), Tama, Dylan Naylor and Chelsea; his great grandchild Kenzo Contreras; and his siblings, Leonard Vesely (Newton) and Marcella Boldt (Roger).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Toledo American Legion (109 N Main St, Toledo, IA 52342).
A memorial fund will be established.
