She was predeceased by: her parents, William Yilek and Albina Banes Yilek; her son Daniel Kearney Jr.; her grandson Dwayne Kearney; her siblings, Sharon Crawford and Larry Yilek; and her close friend Dick Chizek.
She is survived by: her former husband Daniel Kearney; her children, James Kearney (Donna) of Yankton, Patrick Kearney of Toledo and Judy Broyles (Craig) of Marshalltown; her grandchildren, Dusten Kearney, Davide Kearney of Yankton, Lucas Rebik (Erin Schuelke) of Grimes, Emily Rebik of Chicago, Benjamin Rebik of Des Moines and Nicole Osborn of Shellsburg; her great grandchildren, Madisen Kearney, Morgen Kearney and Reagan Rebik; and her sister Elizabeth Aughe of Crete, Nebraska. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was a devout member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and before COVID, Cindy visited and took Communion to several homebound parishioners.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Tama County Humane Society.
