He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kalinay and Blanche Kalinay (Hlas); his siblings, Joan Kalinay and Emil Kalinay; and his brother-in-law Ed Diggins.
He is survived by: his children, John Kalinay (Michelle) of Toledo, Nick Kalinay (Megan) of Clutier and Jolene Kalinay of Colorado; his grandson Charles Kalinay; his siblings, Bernice Diggins of Marshalltown, Mary Ann Kalinay of Grand Island, NE, Betty Vesely (Gene) of Toledo, Rose Hendrickson (David) of Brooklyn and Marlene Paustian (Don) of Toledo; and his sister-in-law Carol Kalinay of Toledo. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
