She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kunch and Emma Kunch (Chaska); her husband James W. Smith; and her siblings, William, Louis, Cyril, James, Harry, Albie, Mary Kerkman and Lucille Plum.
She is survived by: her son James H. Smith II (Nancy) of Toledo; her grandsons, Bradley James Smith of Toledo, Jared Steven Smith (Tania) of Ely and James Joshua Smith (Tyne) of Oskaloosa; and her great grandchildren, Braden James, Gavin Timothy, Alivia Rae, Mason Steven, James Lane, Anna Joe and Cristy Kathleen Smith.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home (209 E 7th St, Tama, IA 52339). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church (301 S Broadway St, Toledo, IA 52342).
