Luerkens of Toddville, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on October 19, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William D. Luerkens and Jeannette E. Luerkens (Lane); his wife Bonnie Luerkens; his daughters, Andrea Luerkens of Cedar Rapids, Shelly Kreutner (Bruce) of Shellsburg, Trisha Willenborg (Jason) of Central City and Barbara Nannelli of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Melisa Sutton, Justine Sutton, Candace Sutton, Drew Kreutner, Paige McMurrin (Brandon), Blake Willenborg, Benjamin Willenborg, Bristol Nannelli and Aubri Nannelli; and his sister Andrea Luerkens. He was also cherished by seven sisters; three brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard's memory may be directed to the family to be designated later.
