He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylverius Jaeger and Angela Jaeger (Kramer); his stepmother Colletta Jaeger (Pottebaum); his siblings, Urban Jaeger (Irene), Joan Helle (George), Della Rose Downey, Eileen Appel (John), William Jaeger (Mary Ann), Norma Petsche (Lavern), Jeanne Ann and Eldon Jaeger; and his parents-in-law, Anita Jaeger, Diane Jaeger, Leon Werner, Milt Witter and Pat Werner.
He is survived by: his wife Ruthann Jaeger of Toddville; his children, Tania Roland (Scott) of Paris, Todd Jaeger (Amy Clark) of Mt. Home, Nichole Krause (Vince) of Toddville, Cory Jaeger of Des Moines and Julie Ferden (Kevin) of Newnan, Georgia; and his siblings, Leo Jaeger (Diane) of Kenton, LeRoy Jaeger of Earlville, Marilyn Werner of Dyersville, Loras Jaeger (Mikki) of Davenport, Betty Herman (Vincent) of Earlville, Rosemary Salow (David) of Earlville, Joe Werner (Carmen) of Earlville, Theresa Witter of Sherrill and Monte Werner of Belvidere, Illinois. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Because of COVID-19 concerns, masks are strongly recommended at both the funeral home and church.
