He is survived by: his father Fred Lain; his wife Amie Studer of Titonka; his stepson Jerrit Westfall (Maggie Rezac); his child Emery Mae of Emmetsburg; his stepdaughter Gracie Westfall (Gavin Droessler) of Titonka; his stepfather Rich Phillips; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Kathryn Studer; his siblings, Grant Lain, Anna Phillips, Rebecca Phillips (Kenny Meister) and Katie Nelson (Luke); his grandmothers, Joann "Jo" Carlson and Susie Fox; and his siblings-in-law, David Studer (Megan), Danielle Hill (Shane), Katie Prothman (James), Alyssa Berkland (Steven), Krista Giddings (Cameron) and Anne Studer (Hasan). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
