He was predeceased by: his parents, Ehno Folkerts and Elsie Folkerts (Smidt); his siblings, Gary Folkerts, Frank Folkerts and Elaine Sleper; and his brothers-in-law, Keith Van Hove and Carroll Van Hove.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Van Hove of Titonka; his son Jim Folkerts (Gwen) of Van Meter; his grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, Ellie and Randy Folkerts (Kelli) of Des Moines; his great grandchildren, Abigail and Grace; his friend Tom Schuller (Deb) of Jackson, MN; his sisters, Ann Tegtmeyer (Don) of Britt and Wanda Douglas of Worthington, MN; his siblings-in-law, Janice Folkerts of Titonka, Leona Van Hove of Buffalo Center, Marlene Van Hove of Spirit Lake, David Sleper (Lynn) of Columbia, MO and Bob Van Hove (Judy) of Buffalo Center; and also, Nolan Schuller (Carrie), Stacey Westby (David) and Sophia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ron's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
