Roger William Schmidt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger William Schmidt (Titonka, Iowa), who passed away on January 24, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schmidt and Lenora Schmidt (Burnett); his wife Phyllis Christensen; his son Mike; and his siblings, Harold, George Jr., Lester and Marcella "Sally" Biehn.

He is survived by: his children, Tim Schmidt (Debi) of Cedar Falls, IA, Dan Schmidt (Nita) of Iowa City, IA, Mary Schmidt of Titonka, IA, Sue Heyer (Paul) of Titonka, IA and Paul Schmidt of Fairmont, MN; his daughter-in-law Gail Hanson of Osceola, WI; his grandchildren, Erin Schmidt, Molly Tebben (Shawn), Ethan Schmidt, Tyler Schmidt (Sarah), Kelsey Weiss (Matt), Spencer Schmidt (Jodie), Todd Schmidt (Kate Parks), Megan Schmidt (Scott Hawes), Allison Schmidt, Shane Sutton (Alisha), Shannon Kennedy (Jon), Stacie Sutton (Joe Hill), Marcie Wilson (Carmon), Ben Heyer (Tera) and Tom Heyer (Chelsie); and his siblings, Lenora Holtorf (Norman), Emmagene Silber, Jeremiah Schmidt and Glenn "Corky" Schmidt (Sharon). He is also survived by 35 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
