He was predeceased by: his parents, George B. Hotz and Margaret Hotz (Wadsworth); his son-in-law Daryl Lenz; and his sisters, Marilyn D. Johnson, Nancy L. Hotz and Betty J. Hotz.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Cooney of Tipton; his children, Nancy A. Lenz of Tipton, Stephen W. Hotz (Traci) of Tipton, Jeffrey W. Hotz (Brenda) of Tipton and Christine K. Hotz (Randy Peacock) of Cedar Rapids; and his grandchildren, Amanda Thomas, Kelly Sullivan, Dustin Hotz, Greg Hotz, Tammy Bass, Jeffrey Hotz, Samantha Klitzka, Benjamin Willett and Christopher Willett. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Bill.
