He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Thoeming and Tillie Thoeming (Edler); his son-in-law Randy Evans; his brothers-in-law, Earl Steffen and Delmar Thumm; and his nephew David Thumm.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Long; his daughters, Vicky Evans, Marion and Sandra Toal (Terry) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sisters, Edith Steffen and Shirley Thumm. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
