He is survived by: his mother Nancy Petersen Helmold; his wife Tina Helmold of Tipton; his children, Maddie DeVore of Iowa City, Jordan Hora (Shawn) of Tipton, Dylan Helmold of Iowa City and Zachary Wurr of Tipton; his siblings, Lisa Fulwider (David) of Tipton, David Helmold (Pat) of Tipton, Gary Helmold (Robin) of Tipton and Jeff Helmold (Jodi) of Ottumwa; his grandchildren, Brayden of Tipton, Elliot of Tipton and Lennon Hora of Tipton; his brother-in-law Rick Piatt of Davenport; and his brothers, Travis Galloway and Matt Pruess.
