With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Lloyd Thumma of Tipton, Iowa, born in Stanwood, Iowa, who passed away on January 23, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Albert and Luella Alice Thumma (Burkholder); his son John Thumma; and his siblings, Hazel Thumma, Jean Thumma, Merle Thumma (Mary), Glenn Thumma (Lee), Melvin Thumma (Rosetta), Harold Thumma (Norma) and Dale Thumma (Francis).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Rehmke of Tipton, IA; his children, Judith Youngs of West Liberty, IA, Nancy Gagner (Chris Urmie) of Stanwood, IA and Mark Thumma (Deb) of Tipton, IA; his daughter-in-law Becky Thumma of Rochester, IA; and his sister Helen Smith (Richard) of Tipton, IA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family will forward all memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
