He is survived by: his daughter Susan Rae Beranek of Tipton, IA; his grandchildren, Jesse Beranek of Tipton, IA, Brady Beranek of Tipton, IA, Alicia Beranek of Tipton, IA and Brittany Beranek of Tipton, IA; his siblings, Mary Lou Laing of Mechanicsville, Barb Kaalberg (Don) of West Liberty, IA, Jean Garrett (Richard) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Danny Laing (Kathy) of Tipton, IA, Larry Laing (Deb) of Tipton, IA and Ronnie Laing of Tipton, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Larew of West Branch and Karen Maiden of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
