It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Tholen of Tipton, Iowa, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Tholen and Anni Tholen (Moenck); his siblings, Dorothea Ede, Elnora Husmann, Patricia Jennings, Harold Tholen, Herb Tholen and Bernhardt Tholen; and his in-laws, Stanley, Ruby Shima and Floyd Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Shima); his children, Kim Nelson (Mark) of Greenfield, IA, Scott Tholen (JoJo) of Tipton, IA, Tracie Wiegert (Jason) of Johnston, IA and Kellie Rahn (Correy) of Mt. Carroll, IL; and his sister Annetta Schirm.
