He was predeceased by: his father Richard Otis Nelson. He is survived by: his mother Janet Rae Sharpless Nelson; his siblings, Lori Nelson (Jim Fuller), Kelly Nelson (Roger Rufer) and Scott Nelson (Andy Halvorson); and his nieces, Emily Graves (Mitch Graves) and Arlette Blythe (Dillon Blythe).
