He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tompkins and Ella Tompkins (McKillup); his wife Donna J. Brenner; and his sisters, Bernice Tompkins, Betty Cook, Karen DeLano and Mabel Goff.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Flack of Durant, Tamra Waldow of Wilton, Joy Foglesong (Bob) of Ankeny and Patricia Hamann (Lee) of Tipton, Iowa; his grandchildren, Misty, Jessica, Sandy, Randy, Kevin, Ryan, Kadie, Jordyn and Emilee; and his siblings, Wilbur Tompkins of Muscatine, John Tompkins, Jr. (Judy) of Muscatine, Wilma Walwer of Defiance and Carol Cubbage of Muscatine. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
