She was predeceased by: her parents, August Horman and Ella Horman (Beuthien); her husband Lester Otto Rowold; her siblings, Marvella Fehling, Clarence Horman, Elmer Horman and Earl Horman; her nephews, Charles Fehling and Darwin Rowold; and her siblings-in-law, Darlene Horman, Mabel Horman, Harold Fehling, Merle Rowold and Gerald Rowold.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve, Everett Rowold (Theresa Crist) of Walcott, IA, Dennis Rowold (Pam Lind) of Wyanett, IL and Steven Rowold (Dawn) of Tipton, IA; her siblings, Alice Rowold of Lowden, IA, Erna Rowold of Geneseo, IL, Harold Horman (Mary Louise) of Lowden, IA and Raldo Horman of Tipton, IA; and her grandchildren, Derek Rowold, Matthew Rowold, Jody Nightingale and Chelsey Lind. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and in Irene's memory, a memorial fund has been established for Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton, IA.
