Gene Phelps Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 1, 2019, at the age of 91, Gene Phelps (Tipton, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oakley and Esther Margaret Sharpless Phelps; his siblings, Naomi Wehde, Max Phelps, Dale Phelps and Carrie Etta Phelps; and his aunt Bernice Sharpless Coder.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Phelps of Tipton, Iowa; his children, Dennifer Kann (Peter) of Greensboro, GA, Randy Phelps of Tipton, IA and Traci Ormsby (Jeff) of Tipton, IA; and his grandchildren, Elisabeth Kann, Melanie Kann Loffredo (Jason), Zachary Phelps (Jen), Corey Ormsby, Tucker Ormsby (Jessica Helton), Griffin Ormsby and Cael Ormsby. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
