He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin James Young and Evelyn Edna Sterner (Young); and his siblings, Cindy, Jerry and Tim.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Ellen Young (Elder); his former wife Nancy Koerner (Cook); his children, Brett Young of Florida, Amy Lusche (Daniel) of Iowa City, Bridgette Petty-Hatfield (Jon) of Iowa City and Leah Ritter (Rob) of Swisher; and his stepchildren, Stacy Hummer of LaGrange Georgia and Ryan Dewulf of Valley Alabama. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
