She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Ferguson and Sarah "Gladys" Ferguson (Hertz); her daughter Jody Lynn Emrich; and her sister Mae Ellen Nassif. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Douglas Emrich; her son Craig; and her daughter-in-law Lynn Emrich.
She was past president of the: Tri Sigma's, Tipton School Foundation, Iowa Partners of the America's, Friendship Force, and the Mary Jean Emrich Effort Scholarship Committee.
