He was predeceased by: his father Robert Edward Dettman; and his brother Mike Dettman. He is survived by: his mother Irene Doris Stout Dettman; his siblings, David Dettman (Kat) of Oxford and Pam Schoepfer (Gary) of East Moline; his sons, Jarad Dettman of Minnesota and Devin Dettman of Coralville, Iowa; his nephews, Benjamin Schoepfer and Brandel Schoepfer; and his pets, Patches and Midnight.
