It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Garmon (Tipton, Iowa), born in Pulaski, Iowa, who passed away on May 20, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Leon Garmon and Estelle Olive Melton Garmon; his wife Maggie; his daughters, Nancy Bruhn and Sonja Garmon; and his siblings, Arley Thurston, Earl Thurston, Don Thurston, Everett Thurston, Goldie Huggins and Mary West.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ryan Goethals and Rhonda Wadsworth; his son-in-law Darel Bruhn; and his sister Erma Robinson. He is also survived by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
