With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger C. Obrecht of Thornton, Iowa, who passed away on July 18, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Obrecht and Effie Obrecht; his wife Leah Krauth; his brother Thayne; his sister-in-law Opal; his sister Vivian; his brother-in-law Joe; and his niece Colleen.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Audrene Hansen, Maureen Modderman, Jacqueline Dirks (Gary), Martha Statlander, Mary Schlichting (Paul) and Jeff Obrecht (Becky Parrish); his stepson Dan Krauth; and his stepgranddaughter Mary DeZiel (Brian). He is also survived by 60 great nieces and nephews.
