He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Proctor and Laurine Proctor (Parks); his parents-in-law, Louis and Gert Stadtlander; his grandson Zak Slagle; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Stadtlander and Richard Stadtlander.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Proctor of Thornton; his children, Matthew Proctor (Janet) of Swaledale and Amy Slagle (Chad) of Algona; his grandchildren, Jordan Mitchell (Jacob), Spencer Proctor and Tate Slagle; his siblings, Linda Van Osten (Ardell), Marvin Proctor (Jane) and Duane Proctor (Jewel); and his siblings-in-law, Larry Stadtlander, Dean Stadtlander (Renae), Bev Stadtlander and Brenda Bracklein (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
