It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Ruiter of Thornton, Iowa, born in Otho, Iowa, who passed away on March 25, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Ewing and Maude Ewing (Mericle); her husband LuVern; her son Darwin Ruiter; and her sister Virginia Buland.
She is survived by: her children, Corinne Walker (Don), Nora Springs and Scott Ruiter; her daughter-in-law Jane Ruiter (Thornton); her grandchildren, Tyrell Walker and Whitney Johnson; her stepgrandchildren, Leigh McCready, Danielle Brady and Ashley Sharum; her sisters, Barb Thompson (Forey) and Millie Verlo; and her sister-in-law Maurine Nash (Minneapolis).
