He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Olson; his father-in-law Marius Floy; his grandparents, Oscar, Ida Olson, Edward and Evelyn Hunt; his great grandchild Henry Thorland; and his nephew Josh Olson.
He is survived by: his mother Marian Olson (Pat); his wife Kim Floy of Thompson; his children, Heather Eilering (Keith) and Nicholas Olson (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Katie Thorland (Tonnes), Justin Hassebroek, Kevin Hassebroek, Aubrey Olson and Ethan Olson; and his siblings, Randy Olson (Naomi), Tim Olson (Julie), Cynthia Olsen (Bob) and Colette (Steve). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and will be used to set up a scholarship fund.
