He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Gunderson and Esther Gunderson (Luehring); his wife Yvonne Louise Bennett; his sister Doris; and his brother-in-law Elwin Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Gunderson of Terril, Iowa, Curtis Leroy Gunderson of Estherville, Iowa and Sherry Rae Morris of Terril, Iowa; his grandchildren, Ben, Josh, Mike, Sabrina, Shawn, Seth, Lucas and Tanner; his brother Bruce Gunderson; and his sister-in-law Linda. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
