He was predeceased by: his father Harlan Nerness. He is survived by: his mother Jane Nerness (Hutson) of Cambridge; his wife Mary Sorenson of Tama; his children, Steven Nerness Jr. (Kari) of Springfield, MO, Misty Nerness of Tama, Israel Nerness (Jonalyn) of Toledo and Jacob Nerness of Toledo; his grandchildren, Steven Nerness III, Elizabeth Nerness, Anna, Maya and Sarah Nerness; and his sisters, Rebecca Nerness of Cambridge and Tammy Nerness of Ames.
