He is survived by: his wife Betty Buresh of Tama; his daughters, Paula Eberhart (Roger) of Montour, Pam Fowler (Steve) of Tama and Penny Tyynismaa (Robert) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Bryce Eberhart, Paige Moretz (Matt), Cecilie Harrison (Steve), Riley Fowler (Hope), Joyce Fowler, Robert Tyynismaa (Hailee), Isabelle Nichols (Ben), JoJo Tyynismaa and Tommy Tyynismaa; his great grandchildren, Judy Harrison, Cayden, Aspen Moretz, Anya, Darrell Fowler, Evelena Rose Fowler and Ben Nichols Jr.; his sisters, Bev Rehberg (Harold) of Keystone and Virginia "Susie" Rutledge of Tama; his niece Sherie Rehberg; and his nephew Fred Rehberg.
