He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Skala and Genevieve Skala (Zmolek); his wife Jackie Skala of Tama; his daughter Kellie; his son-in-law Jason Carolan of Tama; his grandchildren, Shane Skala of Story City, Payton and Chase Skala; and his siblings, Al Zmolek, Leon Zmolek, Larry Skala, Patric Skala, Mary Jo Baker and Nancy Cunningham.
