She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Sr. Carter and Audrey Carter (Cran); her brother Rick Carter; and her grandparents, Nina and Kenneth Cran.

She is survived by: her former husband James D. Jordan; her family, Pepper and Gin; her daughter Jenniffer Gross (John) of Tama; her grandchildren, Danica Scheller, Addysin, Rowynn and Grayson Gross; and her brothers, Kenneth Carter (Deb) of Fort Dodge, Edward Carter Jr. of Pomeroy and Patrick Cater of Woden. She is also survived by best friends were like her own children.
