He was predeceased by: his parents, John Roberts and Nina Roberts (Youngbear); his children, Troy, Marva, Norma, John and Esterlene "Keshena"; his grandchildren, Nora Wind Moreno and Ian Halverson; and his siblings, Dewey Roberts Sr., Wilson, Ernest Sr., Elmer Sr., Esthealene, Eunice and E. Frances Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Wanatee; his children, Andrianne Halverson of Marshalltown, Mona Lisa Roberts of Cedar Rapids and Marian Roberts (Wasaqui) of Tama; and his adoptive children, Aaron Walker of Tama, Dana "Skob" Warrington of Wisconsin, Keith Mitchell of Tama, Leland Morgan of Tama, Levi Roberts of Tama, Danny Waubanasee of Tama, Donald Waubanasee of Oklahoma, Martin Thunder of Wisconsin, Jamie Awonhopay of Wisconsin, Henrietta Brown (Harlan) of Tama, Gina Kapayou of Tama, Kelly Ann Johnson of Tama, Annie Shuckahosee of Ames and Linda Morgan of Marshalltown. He is also survived by thirty-nine grandchildren; and fifty-eight great-grandchildren.
