She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip O'Toole and Stella O'Toole (O'Connor); her husband James; her son-in-law Mike Crain; her sister Marie Schmalz; and her brothers-in-law, Alan Doyle, Urban Hargrafen, Gene Shannahan and Bill Schmalz.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy (Charles Puffer), Diane Ward (Mike), Dan Doyle (Brenda) and Sue Schroeder (Craig); her grandchildren, Gabe Doyle (Vicki), Elizabeth Crandon (Matt), Alex Ward (Katie), Kelli Pirruccello (Ross) and Megan Brim (Nick); her great grandchildren, Paige, Rachel, Claire Doyle, Austin, Lexie Crandon, Eloise Ward, Reid and Aila Pirruccello; her sisters, Corinne Hargrafen, Ruth Shannahan and Marilyn VandeVoorde; and her sister-in-law Marj Doyle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown or Tama County Home Health Care in Toledo.
