He is survived by: his wife Luvica Haines; his daughter Wanda Simmons (Jerry) of Grinnell; his foster son Fred Dost of Sigourney; his grandchildren, Jake Schorlemmer of New York, Josh Schorlemmer, Madeline Schorlemmer of North Dakota and Mik Schorlemmer of Utah; his sisters, Jeraldine Bond, Mary Ervin and Gloria Armstrong; and his siblings-in-law, Earl Davis and Darlene Ervin.
