He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith E. Benedict Bartholomew and Otis E. Bartholomew; his wife Gertie; his grandsons, Chris Bartholomew and Justin Bartholomew; and his great grandchild Alexis Justin Perkins.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Gertrude Greenlee; his sons, Fred (Carol) of Tabor and Donald (Arlene) of Tabor; his stepfather John Shere; his siblings, Carter, Donald, John and Alene; and his stepsiblings, John and Mildred. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the State of Iowa Covid-19 Guidelines, Visitation is limited to 15 persons in the building at one time.
