She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edwin Carl Tonjes and Anna Christina Tonjes (Wooldrick). She is survived by: her husband Ronald E. Benedict of Tabor, IA; her children, Sara Benedict of Omaha, NE, Amy Benedict of Omaha, NE and Patrick Benedict of Alton, IL; her grandchildren, Stratton Nopens, Katelyn Benedict and Patrick Benedict; and her siblings, Cheryl Hartwell (Michael) of Ames, NE and Kenneth Tonjes (Jean) of Hooper, NE. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private disposition of ashes will take place later and memorials are suggested to the Tabor Volunteer Ambulance Association or the Tabor Congregational United Church of Christ.
