He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sherry Bacon Reed; his grandchildren, Miranda, Emily and Christian; and his brothers, Mark Reed (Susan) and Garry. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorials will go to the Tabor Public Library Building Fund and interment will be in the Tabor, Iowa Cemetery.
