He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Carl and Esther Ellen Stevenson Scheib; his former wives, Lily Marie and Karen Scheib; and his brother Charles "Chuck" Tharp.

He is survived by: his children, Bruce Scheib (Jerri) of Mason, OH and Tammy Jurchen (Art) of Urbana; and his brothers, Marlin "Bud" Scheib (Ann) of Thomasville, GA, Larry Scheib (DeeAnn) of Cedar Rapids and Lyle Scheib of Craig, CO. He is also survived by sister Faith (Tom) Kincheloe of Cedar Rapids; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
