It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernie Obadal of Swisher, Iowa, born in Pocahontas, Iowa, who passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Obadal and Mary Obadal (Smutna); his siblings, Stanley Obadal (Stella) and Martha Brown (Bob); his stepson Morris Bryant; and his grandson Jamie Jones.
He is survived by: his former wife Eldora "Dory" Staley; his wife Barbara Bryant; his children, Darrel Obadal (Cheri), Cheryl Skala, Carol Obadal Gary Obadal (Terry Stammeyer) and David Obadal; his grandchildren, Robyn Obadal, Shari Ross (Jim), Shane Skala (Cathy), Jill Sampica (Ben), Louis Obadal (Heather) and Jeffrey Obadal (Sheena); his siblings, Richard Obadal and Betty Forrest (Jim); and also, Russell Bryant (Lori), Edwin Bryant and Bonnie Obadal. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren.
Ernie favorite pastime was bowling and he was still bowling in a league, at the age of 93, when COVID hit in 2020.
