With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Muriel Newman (Swan, Iowa), who passed away on August 29, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard, Sr. Newman and Muriel Wahab Newman; her sons, Elwood Williams and Mayhew "Buddy" Williams, Jr.; her grandson Rhett Steel; and her siblings, Richard "Dickie" Newman, Jr., Harvey Newman, Mitchell Newman and Nell N. Sears.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Perry of Jamesville and Marylynn "Bit" Cahoon of Swan Quarter; her grandchildren, Nancy Jo Kaster of Middletown, VA, Dana Fish of Brunswick, GA, April Armstrong of Chocowinity, Richard Steel of Durham, William "Bill" Steel, James "Jim" Steel, Paul Steel and John Williams of Yankton, SD; her great grandchildren, Noah Cahoon, Naomi Robbins, Makayla Williams, Kathleen "Kit" Williams, Rebecca Steel, Charlee Fish, Scottlynn Kaster, Olivia Steel, Lincoln Kaster, Georgia Steel and BuddieAnne Fish; her great great grandchild Ava Robbins; and her siblings, Gilbert Newman of Pantego, Tommy Newman of Swan Quarter and Florence N. Able of Swan Quarter. She is also survived by extended family with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
