He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Carnahan and Elsie Muckler Carnahan; his wife Marjorie Ann Martin; his siblings, Muriel, Evelyn, Marjorie, Gerald, Donald, Robert and James; and his in-laws, Gerald and Marie Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Carnahan (Teresa) of Primghar, IA, Larry Carnahan (Michele) of Bovey, Linda Bates (Michael) of Spencer, IA, Joanne Stamer (Daniel) of Paullina, IA and Sheryl Steffens (Jeff) of Primghar, IA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be distributed by the family.
