She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edward and Dora Giese (McKeighan); her son Blaine; her husband Tom; her daughter-in-law Joni; and her siblings, John Giese, Donald "Gus" Giese, Colleen Friedrichsen and Violet Meines.

She is survived by: her children, Darryl (Jean) of Primghar, IA, Jeff (Jodi) of Spencer, IA and Kay Sholly (David) of Hartley, IA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
