It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Blaschke of Sumner, Iowa, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Wedemeier and Nellie Wedemeier (Biermann); her husband Orville Blaschke; her brothers, Romaine and Duane Wedemeier (Phyllis); her parents-in-law, Mae and Herb Blaschke; her siblings-in-law, Harold, Rose Blaschke, Arthur, Marion Blaschke, LaVern, Mary Lu Blaschke and Verla Wedemeier; and her nephew Steve Wedemeier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Bergmann (Del) of Sumner, Becky Johnson (Doug) of Sumner and Barb Lensing (Craig) of Waukon; her grandchildren, Mary Lou, Kayla Tucker (Ryan) of Denver, Alyssa Henderson (Blaine) of Grimes, Ryan Bergmann (Jennifer) of Creston, Meredith (Ryan Rask) of Waukon and Jaedyn Lensing (Harley O'Hare) of Waukon; her great grandchildren, Colby, Griffin Tucker, Jaxlyn, Alexia Bergmann and Hayden Henderson; and her brothers, Willard Wedemeier of Cedar Falls and Roger Wedemeier (Elaine) of Sumner.
Memorials may be made in Mary Lou's name to St. John Lutheran Church or SEMS, both in Sumner.
