He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Platte and Clara Platte (Schneider); his brothers, Harlan, Howard and Harold; and his daughter-in-law Amy Platte.
He is survived by: his former wife Janet Jacobs; his sons, Mark Platte (Kris), John Platte (Lisa) and Phil Platte (Tricia); his grandchildren, Amanda Platte, Dustin Platte (Wynde), Allison Platte, Thomas Platte, Molly Platte, Tate Platte and Jennifer Platte; his stepgrandchildren, Josh Brown, Jake Brown, Kaylee Brown and Dillon Brown; his great grandchild Henry Platte; and his siblings, Herb Platte (Cindy) and Maurine Walters (Ken). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to state and federal guidelines on gatherings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is required.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in Henry's name to St. John Lutheran Church, Buck Creek.
